Forty-five years ago, Chef hired me as an apprentice at the M.A.C. He was a great mentor and friend. I'll never forget him, or how nice he was to my family. We had a great group of apprentices and cooks.

Please accept our family's heartfelt condolences. Our father, George Killius, was the Exec. Chef at the Chase in the 1960's and a colleague of Jan's. He respected Jan as a talented chef.
