A lady who loved her family and loved to work best describes Lavonia Albright Wilson who passed away October 5, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born January 19, 1929, the last of nine children to the late Lonnie and Callie Albright, Sr. Lavonia worked in school nutrition in Gaston County Schools and later as a greeter for Walmart. Lavonia never met a stranger, loved to garden and work in her yard and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Lavonia leaves behind to cherish her memory three children, Larry Wilson and wife, Debbie of Harrisburg, NC, Charmaine Crisp of Dallas, NC and Gary Wilson of Dallas, NC; four grandchildren, Samuel Wilson, Susanna Culberson and husband, Wes, Jamison Thompson and husband, Dane and Alex Whitten; three great-grandchildren, Jackson Payne and Blair and Zoe Culberson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Wilson and eight siblings.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 8, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Dallas, NC. Chaplain Barbara Gibson will preside.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Robin Johnson Hospice House, 5005 Shepherd’s Way Dallas, NC 28034.
