TELL CITY – Mary Edith Morgan, 94, passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Tell City.
Edith was born Aug. 23, 1922 in Hancock Co., Kentucky to Marshall Kincaid and Lillian (Campbell) Kincaid. She was married to Owen Sherman "Shorty" Morgan on July 12, 1941.
Edith graduated from Hawesville High School. She worked at General Electric in the Tube Department and enjoyed many years of volunteer service with the Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Her joys in life were her children and grandchildren, watching the Louisville Cardinals, UK basketball, and Nascar on TV. She made the best vegetable soup and cornbread ever as attested by her children.
Surviving are her children: Bill (Harriett) Morgan, Mission Viejo, CA; Jeff Morgan, Owensboro, Ky.; Bruce (Tina) Morgan, Hawesville, KY; Janet Huck and Carolyn Poehlein, Tell City, IN. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Emily (Jay) Welch, Todd and Don Huck, Mark (Debbie) Poehlein, Scott (friend Natalie) Morgan, Shannon (Desman) Day, Bob (Kim) Morgan, Steve (Sarah) Morgan, Sara (Logan) Brown and Kelli Morgan. She has 15 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. Surviving also are a brother, Forrest (Patsy) Kincaid of Owensboro, KY and a sister, Maxine Amos of Nashville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Morgan; her sons, Dale, Kenneth, and David Morgan; her sister, Catherine Saalwarchter, and brother Adrian Kincaid.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church at 702 10th Street, Tell City.
Private Family Service will be at a later date with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Tell City.

So sorry to hear about Edith. I have known her most of my life (my sister Diana married her son Kenny). She was such a sweet lady and I enjoyed seeing her. Rest In Peace Edith.

I am so sorry for all of you, for the lost of Edith. When I lived in Tell City Edith and I had a very good time going to Dairy Queen almost very day. Talking on the phone and working together at Hospital Auxillary. She was my best friend , when I left Tell City , I missed her the most. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
