Mary Louise Flanagan of West Chester Mary Louise Flanagan, 89, died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Norton Square Nursing & Rehab in Norristown. She was the wife of the late Hugh James “Jim” Flanagan. Born April 3, 1927 in Loretta, PA she was the daughter of the late Florian Bengele and the late Marie Felix Bengele. Mary was an avid quilter and seamstress who enjoyed baking and gardening. She is survived by her children, Molly Serago and her husband Mike, Maureen Els, Hugh Flanagan, Jr. and his wife Mary, Colleen DiBernardo and her husband Brian, brothers, Florian Bengele, William Bengele, grandchildren Jake Nicholas Flanagan, Michael and Ryan Serago, Andrew and Matthew DiBernardo. Also survived by Werner Els and Mike DiJohnson. She was preceded in death by her sister Ann Jordan. Relatives and Friends are invited to her visitations on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 7-9 pm at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com; and on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 10-11 am at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd., West Chester, PA 19380; followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Survivors Association, 18851 NE 29th Ave., Suite 700, Aventura, FL 33180.
