Evangelist Rachel Ann Allen, 66, of 9501 Traqulity Lane, Sutherland, VA, departed this life Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at her residence.
She was born March 1, 1950 to Emily Graves and the later Frank J. Graves, III in Hopewell. Rachel attended the Hopewell High School, University of Maryland and John Tyler Community College. She dedicated her life to evangilizing and serving the Lord. She loved to sing, cook, praise the Lord and nurturing others.
Left to cherish her precious memory are: her son, Gregory Allen, Jr.; daughters, Bridgette Baugh (Clarence) and Francine Graves; brothers, John Graves (Ann) and Frank Graves, II (Yolanda); sisters, Katherine Sprately, Lynette Parker, Ardelle Cooper; brothers-in-law, Corvey Cooper, II and Richmond Parker; sisters-in-law, Ann Graves, Yolanda Graves; a number of uncles; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren;
and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Bland & Tucker Funeral Home, 1500 Arlington Road, Hopewell, Wayne McFarland will be delivering the Eulogy. Interment will follow in Mount Sinai Community Cemtery, Prince George.
