Toni Annette Seward, age 77 passed away December 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born on September 5, 1939 in Burlington, Iowa to her dear parents Victor E. and Patricia (nee Spergen) Whitworth.
She married her dear husband Phillip R. Seward Jr. on September 5, 1958 in Las Mesa, CA and she graduated from Helix High School in the La Mesa the same year.
She volunteered for many years with the DAV Auxiliary and was Past Commander and she was an organizer with the Desert Lily Quilt Show for more than a decade. She was a homemaker and resident of Yuma for over 38 years.
Her hobbies included sewing, painting, quilting, singing and youth mentoring.
She also orchestrated education grants through the Desert Lily Quilters and was known for her humor and wit and will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her dear parents Victor E. and Patricia (nee Spergen) and son Mark J. Seward in 2012.
She is survived by her dear husband Phillip R., sons Phillip (wife Debbie) and Victor Seward., and 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and a brother Skip Whitworth (La Mesa, CA).
Celebration of Life services will be officiated by Elder Sylvester Graves on Sunday January 15 at 1 p.m. at Sunset Vista Funeral Home 11357 E. 40th St. Yuma, AZ 85367 928-342-2800. Memorial donations may be made to the Toni Seward Educational Scholarship C/O Desert Lily Quilters Inc. P.O. Box 7284 Yuma, AZ 85366-7284.
