Evadna Rae White Isom: Born February 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frank and Beula Trinnaman White. She attended East High School where she met the love of her life Karl Bruce Isom. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1957. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she faithfully served in many callings. She loved her many years teaching pre-school in her home, then had a second career at ZCMI/Macys. She was dedicated in Temple worship and attending Red Hat meetings. She enjoyed family vacations and happily endured camping, and motorcycling to be with the family. She joked often about having earned 5 Eagle Scout Awards.

Evadna, my friend since 6th grade, I'll miss you this summer, especially, when I return to my mountain cabin in Utah. Such fun we had growing up together! Her house was the party house where we invited all the boys we liked....of course, Bruce was always on the list. At Irving Jr High, we were dancing partners. Point Your Little Foot was our stellar stage performance. 1950's East High was a highlight for us. We loved Rass ( Mr. Rassmussen), our science teacher, not because of science....we loved talking at the back of the room and passing notes to each other.
Living in CA for the past 50 years, every summer I return to Utah to see my Utah buddies: Donna, Darlyne, Louise and, of course, EVADNA. Lunch at the Bountiful Sizzler will have an empty chair. I love you Evadna!

I was completely shocked to see Evadna had passed and attempted to call the house. I saw her just a few weeks ago and was able to visit with her. Evadna was a very strong and beautiful woman and always in happy spirits; even with her recent months of difficulty in walking. She did walk with poise and had an elegance about her. She was kind and sweet to me in the short couple years I have known her. She would share with me how each of her children were doing as we would review the family picture on the wall in her beautiful sitting room. Please know that she is in my heart and prayers along with your family at this very tender time. I would love to attend her funeral to hear the many wonderful qualities she possessed and the stories honoring her, but have a ward funeral to attend to at the same time.

Evadna was a dear friend, mentor, working, walking and lunch companion for many years. She was generous, kind and loving to me and my family. I will never forget her and her wonderful family and their many kindnesses.
When I think of her I always see her in her pink smock lovingly unpacking Lladro figurines in her office and ZCMI.
I know she will be dearly missed by you her family but I know you will be comforted by the spirit and your many happy memories of her.
Best wishes to you all,
Deann Williams
