A. Scott Horton

November 22, 1960 - December 4, 2016

Ansley Scott Horton, age 56 of Covington, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 4th 2016. He was born in Milton, Florida on November 22nd, 1960. His Father was a decorated Marine Colonel and an airline pilot, Scott lived in many areas of the country. He spent the majority of his life in Pensacola.

Scott was preceded in death by his Father, Ansley S. Horton of Sharpsburg, Georgia.

He is survived by his Mother, Tricia A. Horton and her Partner Richard DuPree of Pensacola. Sister Lueree and her husband Ken Hembree of Newnan, Georgia. Brother Kevin and his wife Pam Horton, and nephew Josh and niece Becka of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Scott's career was centered in every facet of the hospitality industry. He was an artist and a poet. Scott had many friends and never met a stranger....

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21st, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. The service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon. There will be no interment service.

A Celebration of Scott's Life will be held after the service at 1:30 p.m. at The Wine Bar on Palafox. All are welcome to share.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Horton-Hoffman Hospitality Fund, Inc. at 118 South Baylen Street, Pensacola, 32502. This fund is a non-profit organization to help underprivileged students attend hospitality school.
