Margie E. Wells
AGE: 93 • Wilmington,
Margie E. Wells, age 93, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2017 at the
Brandywine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Laurel, she was the daughter of the
late Theodore and Hazel Elliott. Margie graduated from Laurel High School in the class of 1940, and was a talented violinist in the high school orchestra. She retired from Wilmington Dry Goods
as a cashier with over 22 years of service.
She is survived by her daughters Adrienne Wheeler of Wilmington, Susan M. Elliott of Laurel, and June Atwood of Wilmington, grandchildren Robert Kelley and Andrew Kelley, and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Margie is preceded in death by her husband Theodore Ralph Wells, who passed away in 1978, and her son George Barry Kelley, who passed away in 1991. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, DE. 19956, with a visitation from 1-2:00pm. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery Laurel.

With Deepest Sympathy to the family of Marge Wells.......she is one of the last of the old Dry Goods gang....I used to eat lunch with her at KMart on Saturdays, when I worked...I always remember some of the things she had to eat because of her colitis...great friend and lady.....I lost touch after she left the Antonian.......
