James P. Cassidy Jr., 68, of Easton, PA died Sunday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy (Randall) Cassidy, with whom he celebrated his 46th wedding anniversary in June. Born in Martins Creek, PA on August 7, 1948, he was the son of the late James and Evelyn (Medlar) Cassidy. He was employed as an engraver at Serge Elevator, Bangor for 32 years and later worked at Kappus Plastics, Washington, NJ where he retired in 2003. He was a graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1968. He was an Assistant Fire Chief of the Lower Mt. Bethel/Sandt's Eddy Fire Company for many years. He was also a former member of Flicksville United Church of Christ and the Stockertown Rod and Gun Club. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, James, and his wife Noelle, of Wilson Boro and Eric of Martins Creek, PA. Sisters, Joan Cassidy, Honesdale and Dorothy, and her husband Keith Storm, Easton. Grandchildren, Gabrielle Cassidy, James P. Cassidy IV, and Jonathan Ribando. Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, Martins Creek, PA is in charge of arrangements. It is with great sadness that my wife Sheila and I learn of James' passing. We three were all members of the Bangor Area High School Class of "1968". So very young to pass, but he must have been needed by the LORD.
