Michael Stephen Lantos, age 71, of Wickliffe, passed away on January 29, 2017.
He was born in Cleveland, on Feb. 11, 1945 to the late Michael J. & Elizabeth Lantos.
Michael was a proud US Air Force Veteran. He loved to watch his children playing sports as kids and was an avid sports fan himself. One of Michael's favorite hobbies was to spend time with Irene outside gardening. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Michael was the beloved husband to Irene Lantos (nee Feczko), the loving father to Michael (Krista Bucar) Lantos, Karin (Joel) Zito, and Marc (Sue Zgonc) Lantos, the proud grandfather to Clayton, Juliana, Josie, and Jacob, his brother Tom (Donna) Lantos, his brother-in-law Eugene (Valerie) Feczko, & an uncle to Megin Feczko, & Michelle (Bennet) Williams.
He was preceded in death by his in-laws Eugene and Julia Feczko.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe, OH 44092. Interment to occur at Knollwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.

I went to grade school with Mike & Tommy at Saint E. Mike was always put in keeping the line in order by the nuns he was a great friend and classmate, I knew Tommy but not as well as he was younger, will miss him he had a great sense of humor, he once said "Fear Sister Clementine (ha)

I was lucky enough to work with Mike at Oglebay Norton, and again when he came out of retirement to work with us at Chart Industries.
He was truly a GREAT guy, and will be missed.
