Lillie Pound Obituary

Lillie A. Pound GASTON - Lillie A. Pound, 95, of Gaston, SC, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Gaston First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mrs. Pound was born in Orangeburg County, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Louise Edwins Stroman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gaston and the Eastern Star. She was married to the late Frank Lewis Pound. Survivors include two sons, Jimmie Pound and Donald (Shirley) Pound; a daughter, Rosa Ann (Wilson) Jumper; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Jean Pound. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) of North is assisting the family with arrangements.
