Mabel Lewis
Springfield, OH - Mabel (Hensley) Lewis, 89, of Springfield, Ohio passed away March 11, 2017 in Eaglewood Care Center. She was born June 25, 1927 in Asheville, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Oscar and Rintha (Hill) Hensley. She was an avid sports fan, loved the outdoors, and won numerous medals in the Senior Olympics. Mabel retired from the Willoughby Post Office and was an active member of the Willoughby Senior Center. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy (Steve) Roberts of Springfield, Ohio; one son Bob Lewis of Fayette City, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Jenna (Robert) Guess of London, Ohio, Laytoya Pippen of Newcomerstown, Ohio, Kevin Lewis of Bedford, Ohio, Kyle Roberts of Russells Point, Ohio and Shelby (TJ) Gauntney of Russells Point, Ohio and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Jack Hensley. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 6-7 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, Springfield, Ohio. Funeral services will begin at 7 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be held on Friday, March 17th at 10:30 am in the Pisgah View Memorial Park, Candler, North Carolina. You may express condolences to the family at www.littletonandrue.com.
