Louis Holm Obituary

Holm, Louis W. Born to eternal life on March 10, 2017. Dear uncle of Scott (Sue) Horne and Beth (Pat) Peterson. Great uncle of Jon and Devin Horne. Special friend of Anita Holm. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ethel Holm and his sister Patricia (Ernest) Horne. Funeral Service on Friday, March 17, 2017, at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield at 3 PM. Lou was a highly successful realtor for 50 years and was most proud of his identification as a million dollar club member, signifying excellence in the profession. Lou was proud of his Danish-Viking heritage and was an avid reader, who enjoyed immersing himself in historical topics-one of the favorites being the Civil War, which he enjoyed arguing with Ernest, his rebel brother-in-law from Alabama. Lou was an enthusiastic and loyal sports fan, suffering for many years with the Cubs and Bears but taking pride as a subway alum of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish! To family, he was the wild and crazy "Uncle Lou" who would constantly entertain with outrageous stories, some of which were true! Special thanks to Jo and the staff at Parkway House, Mercy Residential and Rehab, LifeCare Hospital and Dr. Michael Schulein whose wisdom and counsel gave Lou an added 2 1/2 years of life which he was able to enjoy in quiet dignity.
