Margaret Beer was a first cousin to my mother, Alma Zimmerman Baum. I first met her when I was a child and noticed her intense blue eyes and cheerful smile. Later we visited at the Beer Cousins breakfasts with my Aunts Elizabeth and Dorothy Zimmerman. Margaret also visited my parents when they lived at the Roanoke Home in the 1990's and she delivered snacks and chatted with residents as a volunteer. Her presence was always welcome because of the love and bright spirits she carried with her. My deep condolences to her family.

I was So blessed to have Margaret as my 2nd cousin. My Mom Gladys Schmidgall would take my sister and I over to Roanoke to visit her and her Mother many years ago.
Oh! what great times we shared with the Beer Cousins and quilting bees. Loved her to pieces!!! She was a blessing to all. May you be comforted during this time.
