Mrs. Barbara Ann McDonald, age 77, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017, and will lie-in-state from 1-2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Bryant will officiate. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mrs. McDonald was born Aug. 2, 1939, to the late G.C. and Hattie Grace Martin in Gainesville. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a member of Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Ray McDonald; son Mike McDonald; and great-grandson Peyton Dale. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Donald England of Oakwood and Mike and Kathy LeFevre of Flowery Branch; daughter Jennifer McDonald-Dale of Gainesville; grandchildren Amy McGinnis, Jordan LeFevre, Keely Reynolds, Jennifer McDonald-Dale, Jamie McDonald, Heather McDonald, Nichole McDonald and Tracy Pierce; great-grandchildren Hannah Patterson, Dillion Patterson, Gavin Wooten, Grant Wooten, Drayton McGinnis, Fisher Tomlin LeFevre, Jayce LeFevre, Luca Reynolds and D.C. McDonald; brother and sister-in-law Calvin & Linda Martin of Clermont; and sister, Evelyn Martin of Clermont.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church Building Fund, 5086 Poplar Springs Road, Gainesville, Georgia 30507, 770-287-3311.
