Of Edina, MN Passed away peacefully with family on March 18th, 2017, at the age of 82. She was born in Madison, MN, and raised in Mankato, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter R. Peterson, "P.R."; her father, Kermit Lester Peterson and mother Gladys K. Olson Peterson. Survived by five children, Jeffery D., Lynne E, Paul R., John E., and Patricia N. Peterson Frisk, their spouses, nine grandchildren, and one great grandson. She was a graduate of Mankato West High School in 1952, attended St. Olaf College for two years, and then completed her degree at the University of Minnesota in Elementary Education. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority. Nancy was an accomplished musician, playing the organ for the Lutheran church services at the US Navy Base in Pensacola, Florida where Pete was stationed as a Naval Aviator. Nancy was a devoted and fun-loving wife and mother, enjoying time with her family at every chance. She loved games: golf, tennis, and Bridge, sharing good times with dear friends that she cherished over the years. She also loved walking her dog, Lexi, around the neighborhood. There will be visitation Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017 at 10 AM, one hour previous to the Memorial Service 11 AM held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 6817 Antrim Road, Edina, MN. Please join the family for the reception following the service at church. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery.
