Fleming, Joseph COHOES Joseph Fleming, 84, of Cohoes passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, March 19, 2017, after a long illness. Born in Troy, and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Arthur and Catherine John Fleming and was predeceased by three sisters. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Joseph was a tool and die maker at Covert Manufacturing in Watervliet for over 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Gorman Fleming of Cohoes; and his sons, Joseph (Claudia) Fleming of Wilton and David Fleming (Sarah) of North Carolina. He was grandfather of Meagan, Emily, Ryan, David, Brandyn and Cody. Also survived by nieces and nephews. At Joseph's request, there will be no viewing hours. The funeral will be at the convenience of the family. Those who wish to remember Joseph in a special way may donate to The Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144, in his memory.
