Brian L. Johnson, 56, Williamsport, passed away in the St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 5:57 p.m. following his illness with lymphoma.
Brian was born in the Lakeview Hospital, Danville, Ill. on July 4, 1960. He is the son of Walter Earl and Sandra Ellen (Lape) Johnson of Williamsport. Brian grew up in West Lebanon and Williamsport, graduating from Seeger High School in 1978. He has resided in Williamsport for the past 40 years.
Brian was presently working as an inventory control supervisor for TRW in Lafayette for the past 30 years.
Brian was a member of th Williamsport Christian Church. He served as a leader for the Mission Crossfire, which is a Christian Youth Group that assists with youth enjoying the outdoors by fishing, camping, hunting and archery. He loved to hunt, shoot archery and do horseback riding. He especially enjoyed doting over his three granddaughters.
On April 14, 1984, Brian married Vicky Abolt in the Williamsport Christian Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Vicky, of 33 years; his parents Walter and Sandra Johnson, Williamsport; a daughter, Linley (Shawn) Whitcraft, Logansport; a son, Brodie Johnson, Williamsport; two brothers, Mike Johnson, Attica and Eric (Dawn) Johnson, Williamsport; three granddaughters, Nichole Hunter-Johnson, Harper Greer and Sydney Whitcraft; his mother-in-law, Zeta Abolt, Covington and a brother-in-law, David Abolt, Lafayette.
Services were held at the Maus Funeral Home in Attica on Monday, March 27 with Rev. Don Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica,
