Edith Mary Kleven, 81, of Proctor, VT formerly of Hebron, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Rutland City Medical Center.
She was born on December 17, 1935 in Beloit, WI to Willard and Julie (Cronan) Hunt. She married Paul Kleven on August 31, 1957.
Edith worked as a nurse aide at both St. Theresa Hospital in Waukegan and Harvard Hospital in Harvard. She later worked at Blaziers Pharmacy in Woodstock. She had a CDL and drove bus for the Pioneer Center. She loved being a wife and mother. She often went out of her way to help others. She was a Den Mother for Cub Pack 606 in Hebron. She loved to drive stick shift. She could jitterbug dance with the best of them. She was a devout Catholic and loved spending time with her family and extended family. She was a loyal Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She was a true blue Hebron Giants fan. She played the French Horn in the marching band. She liked to yodel and sing. She was a huge Elvis fan. She had a heart of gold and she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Theresa (Ron) Mobley, Paul (Mary) Kleven, Mike (Esther) Kleven, Dan (Denise) Kleven, and Jim (Connie) Kleven; her grandchildren, Heather Kleven, Paul Kleven II, Angela (Edwin) Begley, Daniel (Victoria) Kleven, Nathan Kleven, Nickolas (Megan) Kleven, Tyler Kleven, Bill (Marguerite) Schuler, Jake Kleven, Sarah Kleven, Zackary Kleven, Jacob Kleven, and Daniel Solis; her great grandchildren, Gloria Gonzalez, Camden Begley, Marco Gonzalez, Dakota Kleven, Raymond Kleven, Sienna Begley, Julie Gonzalez, Melanie Kleven, Brandon Schuler, Bentley Kleven, Peyton Kleven, Jacob Schuler, Ava Inez Kleven, and Vivian Eve Kleven; her brothers, Patric (Sharon) Hunt, Edward (Judy) Hunt, and Tom Hunt; her sisters, Kathleen Belrichard, and Sara (Rick) Whitehouse; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Francis Kleven, and Edward Kleven; and her brother, Willard Hunt.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of the memorial mass celebrated at 11:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave. in Woodstock. Burial will be at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock.
