SARACHMAN
RICHARD J.
Born May 4, 1946, in Mckees Rocks, passed away March 20, 2017. Son of the late Joseph and Marie (Pirich) Sarachman, of McKees Rocks; beloved husband of the late Cheryl (Seelhorst); brother of Joyce Sarachman; uncle of Amber Pfister; cousin of Lynn Kozak, Joyce Fruenholz, Mark Snyder, Shirley Mazzotta; special friends Ron and Kathy Sidun, Fran and Ron Bishop, Debbie and David Katich, Holly Crane, and the late Ann Hunter. Richard worked at Kauffman's on the North Side, Dick's Sporting Goods, in Coraopolis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 2 p.m., on the 22nd anniversay of Rich and Cheryl's marriage, at the VALERIAN F. SZAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Helen St., McKees Rocks. Contributions may be made to the Habitat for Humanities, Greater Pittsburgh, 121 Habitat St., Americus Georgia 31709-3498. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Ukrainian Cemetery, following the memorial service.

Rich and i became friends in my Kaufmann days some 20 years ago i then met his then wife to be Cheryl
we became very close friends
They were both kind and generous people
I have been in touch with Rich most recently and always loved him for his kind heart and gentle soul i will miss him mire then words convey
I wish his family peace and send my prayers and deepest condolances

I was saddened to hear about Richard's passing. We went through school and graduated together. He was a kind and gentle man. I will keep him in my prayers.
