Alecksen, Irene M.
Irene M. Alecksen, age 102, of Manitowoc, died peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village, Manitowoc.
The former Irene Marie Seeman was born on August 22, 1914 in Kewaunee, daughter of the late Edward and Margarate (Westel) Seeman. She was a 1932 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On April 12, 1958 Irene was married to Sylvester E. Alecksen, at the First Lutheran Church Chapel in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2004. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Irene enjoyed living at Sand Bay.
Survivors include her one son: Jack Alecksen, Sturgeon Bay; son-in-law: Phil Meyer; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter: Sue Alecksen Meyer.
A private family service will be held in Sturgeon Bay, with burial of her cremated remains at Hainsville Cemetery, Sturgeon Bay.
