She was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and a graduate of Samford University School of Nursing. She is preceded in death by her father, Parks Hinson and her brother, Kenneth Hinson. She is survived by her mother, Betty H. Hinson; several extended family members and a host of friends. The family will receive friends at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 1-2 PM with the services to begin at 2 PM in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home.

Sherry was a great co-worker who became a great friend over the past 15 years we worked together at HealthSouth. I will greatly miss our quite conversations we shared at work.

I'm sorry to hear of her passing. Sherry worked with me at Brookwood on 3rd Main. I was her head nurse. She was a very sweet person. She was always willing to do more than her share. She was a pleasure to work with.
