Was just thinking that I always thought he had a look like my grandfather, Felipe Lopez Jimenez. He, thanks to you Diane, got his DNA and sure enough we are related. I knew I had a special love for him and you because you became my family as well. I will miss him a lot.

Today is our 47th Wedding Anniversary and I love you more than ever. We have shared many good times and I remember how it began.
We met in Aurora, Illinois. You did not speak English and I only had a few years of Spanish but we managed to communicate. A few months later we were married in the home of John Chivari, a magistrate, or judge. You made all the arrangements and you drove the car which included our two witnesses, Moises Aceves Godinez and Ramon Jaso Godinez. The short ceremony was all in English and I remember the words...and there to I plight thee my trough. We returned to our apartment house with one of the cousins driving and you and I seated together in the back seat. We posed for photos outside in the warm afternoon sun, you in your borrowed tan suit and I in a yellow flowered dress sent from Canada by my mother. I think our Illinois friend Donna took the pictures. Such a great beginning so long ago. Te quiero, mi amor, te quiero .

Sis. Godinez your husband became friends with my father when he recently became a new convert to the LDS family. He always made him feel welcomed and was a good friend to him thru out the years. I am saddened my father and I did not make the services.

I met Ramon in the early eighties at Wilbur Ellis in Chula Vista. I was a customer and Ramon was the lot man who loaded and filled orders. It was always nice to see Ramon. He was always in a good mood. He was a hard worker and a good man. Ramon will be missed but remembered well by all who knew him.
