We were saddened hearing of Dan's passing. We have worked with Dan, and then Dale, for many (30?) years. Dan was one of the truly nicest and good men we have known.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Dan. Dan was a true pleasure to work with as a feed salesman. Worked with Dan first with Darby Creek, then later with TDI horse feeds and finally with his store he started in Johnstown.
Dan was always an honest and creative salesman. I recall meeting Dan one morning early(as was typical with Dan) for a day of sales calls. As I had gotten dressed in the dark(with a young family - not wanting to wake my wife), I had not noticed that I had a black boot and a brown boot on(noticed by Dan). Dan was creative enough to turn what could have been an embarrassment into a marketing idea. He said "we will give special discount to any dealers whom notice the different boots" during our sales calls that day.
That was Dan, always creative, a good man whom I was proud to have known.
