Alphonse Rago Obituary

RAGO Alphonse A. "Al", 68, of Brockton for 34 years, formerly of Everett, passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2017. Native of the North End, Boston, he was the son of the late Nicholas & Lucy (Bucchino) Rago. Al worked for Andrew T. Johnson Co. as a print shop production manager for 50 years until his retirement. A simple, quiet man, he was devoted to his family. Al was the beloved husband of Gail M. (Perry) Rago; loving brother of Lucille Iovanni & her husband Michael of Peabody; brother-in-law of Kathleen Brown of MI, Patricia Byrne of Brockton, Jeanne St. Clair & her husband Bob of Melrose, & George Perry & his wife Paula of Sterling; & an uncle of many nieces & nephews. Family & close friends are welcome to calling hours Thursday, June 8th from 10 a.m. 12 noon, followed by a 12 noon service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
