Portsmouth - Enos J. Dail, 88, went to be with our Lord on June 11, 2017.
Born in Ayden, NC, he was the son of the late Herman and Ruth Dail. He retired from NNSY and CPO, U. S. Navy, total service 38 years. He served on several naval vessels. Among them were the USS INTREPID and USS LEYETE (CV-32). He was also an Amateur Radio Operator, "W4ENO" AKA "OPERATOR".
Enos was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Fuller and son, Ricky, I. Left to cherish his memory: his daughter, Carrol Walker and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Jessica and Patrick Walker, Stephanie Jewell and husband, Justin, Ricky Dail, II, and wife, Heather, Gregory King and wife Catherine and Melissa Berry; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, William (Buddy) Dail of Jacksonville, NC; 3 nephews and several cousins.
The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel on Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 12 to 1 p.m. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Carol and family. I'm so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed knowing your dad. So did Haley, the mini Beagle. I wish I could have attended today, but I am under strict orders from the surgeon to stay out of cars for a while. My thoughts are with you.
