Gertrude McMullen
WEST PEORIA - Gertrude "Ann" McMullen, 81, of West Peoria passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Heddington Oaks, surrounded by her family and friend.
She was born on December 4, 1935, in Abingdon, IL, to Howard and Veryle Pigg. She married Edson McMullen on April 19, 1962.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother.
She is survived by her sister, Martha (Owen) Schaub; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Pigg; nephew, Gene Pigg; and close friend, Bill Kingsley.
Ann worked at Illinois Bell Telephone Co. as an operator, retiring with 28 years of service.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services, with burial at a later date.
The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co., Pekin/Peoria, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com.
