William H. "Bill" Whittington
AGE: 77 • Belmar
William H. "Bill" Whittington, 77 of Belmar passed away peacefully on July 7, 2017 with his family by his side at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Bill was born in Red Bank, NJ and was a lifelong resident of South Belmar before moving to Belmar. He graduated from Manasquan High School where he loved mechanical drawing and wood shop. In his early days Bill worked at the Belmar Beach Bath House. He was an active and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending the Police Chief Association, Eastern Star and JSUMC Nurse's picnics with his parents and family. Bill was an avid Yankee fan.
Bill is predeceased by his natural parents William H. and Emma Whittington and his adoptive parents Chief Bradford C. Sr. and Eva Behrman, a brother Bradford. C. Behrman, Jr., and sisters Doris Armstrong and Lois M. Depew. He is survived by his brother Richard A. Whittington and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bill was pure of heart, untarnished and loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Tuesday, July 18th at 11 am at Monmouth Memorial Park, 4201 Route 33, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bill's memory to Calvary Baptist Church, 1201 E Street, Belmar, NJ 07719. Arrangements are in the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. Bill it does not seem real that you are not here with us anymore. I walk into the apartment waiting to hear your voice Hi JoAnn. I Know you are in Heaven and Happier than you have ever been. I will miss you more than words. It was my honor and pleasure to take over where Grandma and Grandpa started and caring for you after their passing. No worries please I will be alright I promise.

Bill will be missed at the senior building. For the past few years Bill participated in Red Cross Holiday Card signing for US soldiers. I will miss his cheerful greetings.
