Dwayne LeRoy Finney, 53 of Trenton entered into God’s kingdom for eternal rest on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in the Netherlands, Dwayne was a lifelong resident of Trenton, NJ. He was educated in the Trenton Public School System and graduated from Harry S. Truman in Levittown, PA. He was a self employed Handyman and was considered “The Best of the Best”. Dwayne was a member since childhood of Blessed Sacrament Church in Trenton, NJ. He loved to fish and was a passionate lover of dogs. He was a master of several pit bulls and mixed breed dogs. Dwayne was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Delores and Larry Thompson; his grandparents, Annie Pearl and LeRoy Finney, Sr.; one brother, Derreck Finney. He is survived by his father, LeRoy Finney, Jr.(Janice) of Trenton, NJ; one brother, Eric Finney of Hamilton, NJ; six sisters, Martine Finney of Trenton, NJ, Tina White (Douglas) of Hamilton, NJ, Sharon Gordon (Maurice) of Willingboro, NJ, Talaya Fortson of Ewing, NJ, Lisa Burnett and Keisha Burnett both of Trenton, NJ; his aunts, Elizabeth Carter of Stafford, VA, Bertha Finney of Roslyn, PA, Thelma Johnson, Gladys Finney both of Willingboro, NJ, and Margie Burnette of Trenton, NJ; special friends, Shelly McKnight, Judy Morris and the OLG of Edgewood Avenue; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00am at Campbell Funeral Chapel 1225 Calhoun St. Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 9:00am to 11:00am at the chapel.
