LEROY DAILEY
GALLIPOLIS —Leroy Dailey, age 82, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Holzer Senior Care Center. He was born in March 12, 1935 in Carter County, Kentucky, the eldest child of the late Wylie and Avis Burchett Dailey.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents. Leroy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred Pauline Myer Dailey, and children Carol, David, Dwight and their spouses Joy, Jim, and Liubov, one brother Larry(Shirley) Dailey of Gallipolis, and one sister Judith Lett of Boonville, Indiana. He also leaves many other close relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Leroy graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1953, was a Korean War veteran, member of the American Legion, and served in the Army from 1953-1956. Leroy was a faithful member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Gallipolis, Ohio. Leroy worked as an electrician at the Ravenswood Aluminum Plant near Ravenswood, WV before retiring after 39 years on the job. He enjoyed watching sports as well as woodworking and making clocks.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Godwin officiating. Entombment will follow at the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations, be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 645, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631
