Leon C. "Leo" Pretti, 81, of Mar Lin, passed away peacefully Saturday at The Meadows at York Terrace.
Leo was born in Saint Clair, June 17, 1936, to the late Charles Sr. and Elizabeth Thornton Pretti. He attended Saint Clair High School before proudly serving in the Air Force. Leo was employed by the state Department of Transportation for more than 20 years before retiring in 1998.
Leon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed a lifetime of hunting and fishing in Pennsylvania's "God's Country." He was a champion marksman, winning numerous state and national titles. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by a brother, Charles "Chas" Pretti.
Leon is mourned by the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Patricia Bagucansky Pretti; three daughters, Cheryl Pretti Myers and her husband, John, Fredericksburg, Va., Patti Pretti, Pottsville, and Amy Pretti Lordan and her husband, Clint, Saint Clair; four grandchildren, Alexandra Myers Tegler and her husband, Michael, Gabrielle Myers, Elizabeth Lordan and Daniel Lordan; a great-granddaughter, Reese Tegler. He is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth Pogash, Saint Clair; nieces and nephews.
