Libbie M. Meyer, 92, of Bronson, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
The funeral service will be at noon Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson, with Pastor Terry Siler from First Congregational Church officiating. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Friday at Dutcher Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Matteson Cemetery.
Libbie was born Oct. 3, 1924, in Bronson, to L. B. & Bernice (Vail) Tice. On June 1, 1946, she married Arden "Randall" Meyer. He preceded her in death Feb. 17, 2012.
Mrs. Meyer was a cook for Bronson Community Schools for many years. She loved to bake, showing her talents through the wedding cakes she created, which she sold on the side. Libbie also enjoyed baking cookies, crocheting, going camping and gardening. She served several years on the Bethel Township election board.
Libbie is survived by her children, Gary (Barb) Meyer of Union City and Karen (John) Phillips of Centreville; grandchildren Steve (Talia) Meyer, Aaron (Victoria) Meyer, Jessica (Chad) Earnest, Jason (Breanna) Phillips and Chelsea (Luke Furney) Meyer; great-grandchildren Addison, Lexi and Greyson Meyer, Aubrey and Arden Phillips and Kierstin King. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters.
