Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 6, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park for Elizabeth "Betty" Nieman , age 91 of Waite Park who died at the St. Cloud Hospital on October 3, 2017. Rev. Timothy Gapinski will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Betty was born in Avon to Michael and Mary (Weller) Saatzer on February 9, 1926. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park. Betty enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She was a very good cook and loved making caramel rolls for her family. Betty always had a smile on her face and she will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her children, Michael (Eliveria) of Bismark, ND, Thomas (Carol) of Stanchfield, Charles (Paula) of North Branch, John (Joanne) of North Branch, and Edward (Elaine) Jr. of Stacy; 11 grandchildren and many great and great - great grandchildren; brother, John (Genny) Saatzer of Sartell and sister, Lavern Halupczok of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Nieman; son, Jeffrey; partner, Ervin Esplan; sisters, Rita Turner and Bernie Stocker and brothers, Ollie, Ernie and Joseph.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers due to allergens.
