Ft. Mitchell, AL- Mr. Curtis Newby, Sr., 49, of 10 Pine Street, Ft. Mitchell, AL passed Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his residence.
Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, Phenix, City, AL with Pastor Lawrence Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in McCoy Cemetery, Seale, AL. Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2017 from 3 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home Inc.
Mr. Newby was born December 28, 1967 to the late Mr. Walter Hutchinson, Jr. and Ms. Mary Ann Williamson in Columbus, Ga. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Seale, AL.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Linda Newby, of Ft. Mitchell, AL; his mother, Mary Ann Williams of Ft. Mitchell, AL; three daughters, JhaKayla Newby, Shekniah Newby of Columbus, GA; Nadia Newby of Ft. Mitchell, AL; son, Curtis Newby, Jr. of Columbus, GA; four sisters, Yolanda McCory, Fonda (K) Ra-hashim of Atlanta, GA; Voncille (Danny) Porter, Vanessa Talley of Columbus, GA; two brothers, Henry Newby of Columbus, GA and Calvin (Judy) Grimes of Ft. MItchell, AL and a host of other relatives and friends.

I have just learned of Curtis's passing . My husband and I were with the Mount Olive Volunteer Fire Department until we left the area in 2013. He was a kind man and we enjoyed serving with him. My deepest sympathies to the family .

R.I.H curt, you will never be forgotten,you hold a special place in my heart.
