D. Allen Mummert
Littlestown
D. Allen Mummert, 90, died Friday, October 13, 2017 at his home. He was the widower of Kathryn C. Mummert who died Jan 2, 2017. Born March 10, 1927 in Harney, MD, he was the son of the late Charles W. Mummert and Lilian (Fuss) Mummert Spangler. He served in the army during WWII and was a service manager for Wintrode Buick and retired in 1997 after 45 years of service.
Surviving are his son, Douglas C. Mummert and wife, Brenda of Bonneauville; three grandsons, Joshua, Cody and Caleb Mummert; and his two great- granddaughters, Olivia and Jayne Mummert. Allen was predeceased by his son, David A. Mummert, Jr.; his brothers, Wesley, Oscar and Howard Mummert; and his sister, Erma Crawmer. He liked going out to eat, traveling, watching NASCAR, being outdoors, working on cars, hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared on
