Jerome DeAngelis Sr.
of North Chelmsford
N. CHELMSSFORD -- Jerome DeAngelis Sr., 85, of North Chelmsford, MA, died Friday, October 13, 2017, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua, NH.
He was married to Helen L. (Bent) DeAngelis with whom he was married 60 years.
Born in Roxbury, MA, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary DeAngelis. He attended the Chelsea school system.
Jerome proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired from Lytron Inc. of Woburn, MA, and was a former Chelsea taxi driver.
He was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Center. He enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo and cards. Jerome also enjoyed travelling throughout New England with his wife.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons; Mark W. DeAngelis, Scott J. DeAngelis, Jerome DeAngelis Jr. of Lowell, MA, Dennis J. and his wife Deborah DeAngelis of Georgetown, MA, two daughters; Christine and her husband William Irvine of Amherst, NH and Shawnee and her husband John Bowden of Newton, NH; two brothers and their wives Paul and Ann DeAngelis of Hyde Park, MA, and Edward and Jean DeAngelis of Wakefield, NH, a sister-in-law, Anna DeAngelis of Amherst, MA; six grandchildren, four step grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 10 step great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Salvatore DeAngelis of Amherst, MA.
DEANGELIS -- A private burial will take place in Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA. Memorials may be made in his name to the Chelmsford Senior Center.
