Henry "Hank" Edward Schwartzman, 81, of Greenville passed away peacefully on October 18, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 17, 1936, Hank grew up in Queens, NY. He was the son of the late Louis and Etta Schwartzman.

More than sixty years ago, Hank met and married his high school sweetheart, Eileen Seliger Schwartzman and began a career in the garment industry where he became a well-respected business man, owning and operating clothing manufacturing plants and serving as a corporate recruiter for the industry. In 1978 Hank and Eileen moved to Greenville, SC where they raised their family. After his retirement from the garment industry, Hank was a dedicated employee of the City of Greenville.

Hank is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen Schwartzman; his daughter Linda Graves of Bethesda, MD., her husband, Victor and their children Ryan and Luke; and his daughter, Barbara Rushing of Simpsonville, SC, her husband, Kevin and their two children, Allison and Andrew; as well as two brothers, Joseph and Stanley Schwartzman, and two sisters, Joan Bloomgarden and Lenore Sarisohn.

A graveside ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Beth Israel Cemetery located within the Graceland Cemetery at 4814 White Horse Rd., Greenville.

A memorial service and reception will follow, beginning at noon at Temple of Israel, 400 Spring Forest Rd., Greenville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Eileen, Linda and Barbara: I was so sad to hear of Hank's passing. We certainly loved him and enjoyed working with him over the years. We have many fun memories of his fun sense of humor. What a wonderful husband and father you all had in Hank.
