Funeral service for Robert Jackson Edwards, 84, will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Radney-Smith Chapel with Jeffrey Cote, President of the Talladega Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. Mr. Edwards died Monday, October 23, 2017 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stacy and Juliette Edwards; son, Donald Jeffery Edwards; brother, David Edwards; and brother, Bill Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Edwards; five sons, David Walter Edwards of Concord, NC, Carl Rowell of Concord, NC, Andy (Berlice) Edwards of Matthews, NC, Steven Jackson (Michele) Edwards of Mt. Holly, NC, and Stanley Lloyd Edwards of Mt. Holly, NC; five daughters, Teresa Rowell of NC, Cynthia Rena (David) Vincent of Alpine, AL, Regina Darlene (Mark) Mathis of Panama City, FL, Loria Ann (Curtis) Smith of Talladega, AL, and Juliette Edwards (Brian) Hill of King Mountain, NC; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. The family will be accepting flowers or donations may be made to Coosa Valley Hospice. Pallbearers will be Curtis Lee Smith, Steven Jackson Edwards, Stanley Lloyd Edwards, Christopher Allen Smith, Matthew Guy, and Ralph Bradley. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com. Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
