BYRAM - Brett M. Mershon, 59, of the Cranberry Lake section of Byram, died at home Saturday, Oct. 28, surrounded by family.
Brett grew up in Clarks Summit, Pa., and moved to Byram in 1988. She was a graduate of Keystone College, in Pennsylvania and Keuka College, in New York. She was a teacher and administrator for 37 years with nearly 30 of those years dedicated to Gill St. Bernard's School in Gladstone.
The daughter of the late Roseann (Scott) Neuroth, Brett is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jim Mershon; her two daughters, Erin E. Mershon, of Vernon, and Kyle L. Hoitsma and husband, Steven, of Green; her father, Karl Neuroth, of Clarks Summit, Pa.; and her sister, Karla Jennings, of Long Beach Island.
In lieu of a funeral, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, in the Chapel at Gill St. Bernard's School, St. Bernards Road, Gladstone.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
