Julia R. Pierfy ALPHA, NJ Julia R. Pierfy, 85, of Alpha, NJ, passed away on Nov. 25, 2017, at ManorCare in Palmer Twp., PA. Born in Alpha, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia Ehasz Regitz. Her husband, Donald A. Pierfy, died in 2002. She retired in 1994 as a legal secretary after 30 years from Fishbone and Scheer in Easton. Julia was a 1949 graduate from Phillipsburg High School and secretary for the Class of '49. A lifetime member of St. Mary Catholic Church, she was president of the Altar Rosary Society and treasurer of Golden Age Club at the church. Julia enjoyed gardening, planting trees, reading and traveling. Survivors are her children, Thomas Pierfy of Palmer Twp., Donna Heard and her husband, Gary L., of Lower Nazareth, PA; grandchildren are Brian Heard and wife Katie of Dallas, TX, Sarah Carrion and husband Walter of Austin, TX, Matthew Pierfy of Bethlehem, and Tara Pierfy of Easton; great-grandsons are Iggy and Andrew. Her deceased brother was Michael S. Regitz Jr. Viewing will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at The Finegan Funeral Home, 924 Second Ave., Alpha, NJ, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Alpha, NJ. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 881 Marcon Blvd., Suite 3700, Allentown, PA 18109.
