NARDI, Nancy
was born May 18, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA and passed away December 3, 2017. She enjoyed an active and wonderful life in Pittsburgh where she worked for a short time as a registered nurse and raised her family before moving to Clearwater in 1982. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Peter C. Nardi. Surviving her are her children, Michel Nardi, (husband Dr. William Strupp) and her son Perry Nardi, (wife Mary) along with four grandchildren, Bill Strupp, Meg Lokey, David Strupp, and Mariel Nardi; five great-grandchildren; and her dog, Tino, all of whom she loved dearly. Nancy was a woman who had a modern outlook on life and of the people who surrounded her. She was intellectually curious and driven to take on new challenges like teaching herself to play duplicate bridge at age 80 on the Internet. She loved staying abreast of current events, listening to country music and opera, and playing bridge with her friends, many of whom became her adopted family. Nancy was also grounded in her traditions. She was an exquisite hostess and a fabulous cook and seamstress. She was extremely proud of her Italian heritage and her nursing background. Those of us who loved her will cherish the memories of her quick wit, her sense of style ("It's better to look good than feel good") and her fierce sense of loyalty. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10:45 am at Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg. I remember my many summers spent in Clearwater. Trips to Disney, tea time and all the amazing trips to the library. Nancy and Pete will forever be in my hearts.

You have my deepest sympathy - your mother was an incredible woman. I was blessed to have her in my life and loving memories of her will be forever in my heart.
