He was an active member of East Lumberton Baptist Church (ELBC) and served as a deacon, Training Union director, and choir member for many years. A visitation brunch will take place prior to the service on Saturday, Jan. 6, beginning at 11 a.m. at East Lumberton Baptist Church's Fellowship Hall. The family will also receive friends following the burial.
Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. in East Lumberton Baptist Church's Sanctuary with Rev. Michael Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
Mr. West will be greatly missed, as he was a dedicated Christ follower and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and caring friend. He was a wonderful Christian example for his family and for others as he faithfully loved and served our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
