Kristin Elizabeth Larkin, 46
GORHAM - Kristin Elizabeth Larkin, 46, passed away peacefully, Jan. 11, 2018, surrounded by loving family and friends.
While raised primarily in Storrs, Conn., Kristin was proud to be a native Mainer and moved to the greater Portland area immediately upon graduation from the University of Connecticut.
She met and married the love of her life, Scot, 20 years ago.
She had worked in the health management field for many years for Aetna Insurance Company and enjoyed her collaborations with colleagues and health professionals throughout the state and New England.
She loved her vacations at East Grand Lake with special friends, and her scrapbooking weekends with the ladies. Growing up and into her adult life, she had a strong passion for dance.
Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister who loved and cherished her family. Her friends are too numerous to count, but all who knew her admired her for the sparkling, strong woman she was. Her infectious smile, compassion, kindness and selflessness was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her loving mother, Jill Gorham; and her grandfather, Charles Bruce.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Scot; and the loves of her life, daughter Kate and son Sam; her father, Dick Gorham; brother, Matthew, and his wife, Katie, their children Ruby and Miles; her grandmother, Alice Bruce; plus numerous aunts, uncles nephews, nieces and cousins. She would want to acknowledge the love and support of her special friends, Stacy Forcier and Kristen Lehmann.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the New England Cancer Center, Intermed and Mercy Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., Feb. 3, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 580 Forest Ave., Portland, with a reception to follow. Arrangements are under the care of Dolby, Blais & Segee Funeral Chapel, Gorham. To view Kristin's tribute page and to sign her online guest book, please visit: www.dolbyblaissegee.com.

I will miss Kristin, my beautiful friend & colleague for 18 years. Kristin always approached a situation with a calm & "can do" attitude. She loved her Aetna family and we loved her. Kristin left her mark and taught me that life is all about "really living". She did just that. Sending Love & Peace.

All who knew Kristin know what a loss her passing is not only to her family (whose burden is the greatest) but also to her friends, her work family and all those people with whom she came in contact in the course of her work. Kristin was a lovely person, a fighter and a friend; she was compassionate, calming and professional and we are all better people for having known her. Scot, Kate, and Sam, I'm deeply sorry for the huge hole left in your hearts and your lives.
