Wilma Bells

UNION — Mrs. Wilma Faye Shrewsberry Bells, 92, 3472 Lockhart Highway, Union, widow of Rev. Charlie Edward Bells, passed away Monday January 15, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Bells was born in Beeson, W. Va, October 26, 1925, a daughter of the late Granville and Mary Etta Mills Shewsberry. She was a homemaker and attended Brown's Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Bells was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are two daughters, Ann Hornsby of Union and Linda Allen and husband David of Flat Top W. Va; four grandchildren, Charles Hornsby and wife Juanita of Union, Andrea Hornsby Kirchner and husband Karl of Inman, Shannon Allen and wife Brenda of Beaver, W. Va, and Brad Allen and wife Crystal of Shady Springs, W. Va; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler Hornsby and wife Bridget and Gabby Hornsby of Union, Kristin Kirchner of Columbia, Haley Allen and Hannah Allen of Beaver, W. Va, Sydney Allen and Maranda Allen and fiancée Nathaniel Pack of Shady Springs, W. Va; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bells was predeceased by a son-in-law, Bud Hornsby; and a special family friend, John Kozak.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. John Lee. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Ann Hornsby, 3472 Lockhart Highway, Union.
