Mitchell and family..... I found myself going down memory lane today after driving down Ashton Rd recently. I had moved in 2009. Ashton Pharmacy, Salvitos Pizza, etc. I wondered how your dad and yourself were doing. You dad was a wonderful and personal pharmacist who knew my voice on the phone! I watched you help him while you were in school and beyond. You had the personal touch there too. I think your grandmom even ran the register. Today I googled the pharmacy and name and was saddened to see he passed away a year ago. So many memories of a wonderful family man. I hope you are well and am sincerely sorry for your families loss.

When we were kids, Jay and I would meet at the "Greasy Spoon"aka "Jacks" our local sandwich hangout. Jay would always get fried salami sandwiches. We would discuss what adolescent boys discuss - Girls. What else! When the the owner Jack Feldman was out for some reason you would go behind the counter and make your own sandwich and leave your money on the cash register. It was different back then. Jack knew everybody by name and also about your family. Needless to say, it was a very close community. It makes me feel good when I think of Jay, and the wonderful times we shared together.

Dear Anita, Mitchell, Scott, and Melissa
I worked with Jay at Suburban Pharmacy in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I remember his sincere kindness and an ever-present sense of humor. We had a special family there and Jay was an important part of it.

To the Garber Family. I am so sorry to hear of Jay's passing and felt the need to let you all know he was probably one of the most warm, caring and compassionate people I have ever known. Many, many consultations/conversations in the store. He even hired my late step-son, Gary Wetzel once he expanded next store. Jay always had a calming affect when speaking with him. I will warmly remember him and you are all in my prayers. May Jay rest in peace.
