Ella Washington went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 in Barstow, CA. Ella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was truly a great Matriarch! She provided guidance, knowledge, strength, and Christian love to her family and all that knew her. Ella was born to the late Thomas D. Rowan and Johnny Mae Rowan on February 25, 1932 in McMinnville, TN. Ella has one surviving sister, Bobbie Rowan of Sacramento, CA, all other siblings preceded her in death. She was married to the late Albert Paul Washington. Also preceding her in death were three of her children, Melinda Washington Lowe, Paul D. Washington, and Yolanda Washington Sterling. She leaves behind four surviving children to present her home going ceremony, Michael T. Washington, Juretta Washington, Jock Washington and Joel Washington, and 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and family friends. Memorial funeral service will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Thursday February 1, 2018 at the Arlington Mortuary Chapel, 9645 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA 92503.
