Monique Racicot Foley, 70, of Morgan, Vermont, passed away on February 8, 2018.
She was born on September 29, 1947 in Lowell, VT, to Fernand and Fernande (Brault) Racicot. On December 13, 1969, she married Michael Foley who survives her.
Monique graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1965. She was a Graphic Designer and in 1977, co-founded Derby-Port-Press, Inc. of Derby, VT, with her husband Michael.
Her children fondly called her a "Renaissance Woman," as they admired her for being a person with many talents and areas of knowledge. Her varied interests included interior decorating and restoring homes for friends and family, jewelry making, reading, playing cards, dancing, and spending time on Seymour Lake with her family. Monique had a wonderful sense of humor and laughed easily. She was very kind-hearted, and a giving mother and friend.
Monique was a volunteer at the Dailey Memorial Library in Derby, VT and is credited for establishing their Christmas Craft Fair, a major fundraiser which has successfully continued for the last 27 years.
She is survived by her husband Michael Foley of Morgan, VT, and her children: Daniel Foley of Rochester, NH, Mia Foley of Rochester, NH, Monica Foley of North Yarmouth, ME, and by her step-daughter Patricia of Concord, NH. Monique is also survived by two grandchildren: Jake Foley of Greenland, NH and Tad Foley of Hampton, NH, by her siblings: Claire Stephens and her husband Charles of Seattle, WA, Claudette Gonyaw and her husband Bernie of Newport, VT, Andre Racicot and his wife Ann of Westfield, VT, and George Racicot and his wife Karen of Troy, VT. She is also survived by very special friends, Shirley and Kelley Rivard, Kristi Barry, Theresa Clark, Chris Foley, and her beloved dog Chloe.
She was predeceased by her step-son, Michael.

We are beyond sad to have lost a dearly loved sister, a loving wife and mother. I have thought a great deal about Monique's life and accomplishments this past week; how many lives she touched through her endearing ways. So the beautiful church service and the gathering of family and many friends did feel like a celebration of her life. Even though we are heartbroken, I realized her work was done here in this dimension and what a great job she did! Bravo Monique! We miss you; you will be forever in our hearts!

Dear Monique, you are not only my sister, but my friend and I will miss our daily phone calls immensely. I could always lean on you and you always gave me the best advice. I will miss that along with your sense of humor and your laughter. Apparently your work is done here on earth and you can now rest in peace without all of the pain suffering that you experienced for so long. I love you now and forever. Your sister and friend, Claudette

Aunt Monique,
There are few other people who have known me longer than you. You hold a special place in my heart, but it isn't because of the happenstance we are related or that you are my godmother. My love for you is because of the things in common we share and the uncontrollable laughter that being with you caused. I will miss you very much. I love you
