James Larry Davio, age 57, died suddenly in a farm accident on February 8, 2018 in Richford, VT.
James Davio is survived by his fiancée, Traci McDowell of Derby, VT; his mother, Jocelyn Davio of Derby Line, VT; his children, James Davio II of Orleans, VT, Angela Davio and her fiancé, Kyle Benway both of Derby, VT, and Joshua Davio and his fiancée, Kaitlin Adams of Albany, VT; his grandchildren, Lily, Madison, Morgan, Fallon, Raistlin and grandchild due in June 2018; and his siblings Terri-Lee Gardner and her husband, Doug, both of Orleans, VT, Christopher Davio of Jefferson City, MO, Keith Davio and his wife, Valerie, both of Lebanon, NH, and Eric Davio and his significant other, Amanda Rinck, both of North Carolina.

James "Jim" Davio was born on December 19, 1960 in Newport, VT to Jocelyn and Larry Davio. Upon graduating North Country High School in 1979, he went directly into farming beginning his career at Jordan's Farm in Morgan, VT. This was a field he worked in for more than 40 years.
Jim was a great family man, a loving father and grandfather. He was a social, active man who greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, football and car racing. Jim's family and friends, however, will always remember him as a big-hearted man who always had time for his growing family.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, February 15th from 5-8pm at the Church of God on Crawford Road in Derby, VT.
The funeral service will also be at the Church of God on Friday, February 16th at 11am. Pastor Lawrence Wall of the Church of God will officiate.

I love you papa and I will never forget you

April 25, 2019

My deepest sympathies to the whole Davio family, especially Josh. I know how much you loved your dad and he loved you equally as much Josh. My heart breaks for all of you. I graduated with Jim & we hung out a lot during high school. He was a really funny guy. My daughter Ericka worked with Jim at Chaput's Farm and always talked about how Jim was so good to her.
Terri I know how much your brother meant to you and I'm very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
I know there are no words. I'll pray for all of you.

If the length of a person's life were based on their goodness and how much they gave to back to those in their lives, Jim would have lived to be 100. His death is such a tragedy for all that knew him as the man he was. He will be sorely missed. Our sincerest sympathies to his family in this difficult time.
