A year has gone by since you left. In some ways it has flown... in some ways it has dragged. You are missed by so many people. You filled many spots for different people. For Yvan and I it was "friend". You always had that smile and no matter what either Yvan or I needed, you said sure. Miss you Steve. I know you are sitting with angels. In no more pain... and watching over your family that misses you every waking minute of the day.

Steve's smile was an encouragement at Northern State. As coworkers for many years, I enjoyed Steve's laugh, his willingness to make time to visit. On occasion, Steve would also share moving spiritual stories of positive human interactions. I will miss him, and am praying for you.

My sincere and deepest condolences for Debbie and all the family. I had the pleasure to meet Steve when he was a recruiter in the early 90's. And then the privilege to be associated with his son's Steven, Daniel and Nakiah as a JROTC instructor. It was evident that Steve's good nature, sense of humor and common sense was passed on to his sons. I know that he and Debbie were not only great parents but also helped many other youth in the greater Newport area. It is my privilege to have known Steven, and he and the family will be in my prayers. God bless Steven and the family.
